Summary: | The present study must like intention identify and analyze the metacognitivas strategies that use the students of degree and masters of the Pedagogical University of Durango. For his conformation and epistemologic sustenance one reviewed pertinent the mental theory (Piaget, Vigotsky and the contributions of Gestalt), as well as the theoretical body specifically referred the developed metacognition among others, by Tulving, Madigan and Flavell. Also an extensive revision of referring microtheoreticians was carried out who allowed to raise a series of empirical assumptions and to define the methodologic route. The work was realised from the quantitative perspective, being used for the information retrieval the identification device of metacognitive strategies. The results thrown by the investigation confirm the findings of the investigations reviewed previously and they appear like one more a contribution to the consolidation of the field of the metacognition.
