Description
Summary:The advent of large–scale medical diagnostic systems with electronic recording and digital analysis of life activity sounds inevitably leads to the necessity to diversify the types of involved electronic stethoscopes. The paper deals with a smartphone–based system for digital auscultation developed at the Institute of Hydromechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. We offer a way to adapt the HEACO JABES electronic stethoscope to this system. For this purpose, the audio input of the smartphone connects to the stethoscope via a portable microphone audio interface. The preliminary tests confirmed the high efficiency of this technical solution for monitoring the dynamics of respiratory diseases.
