Summary: | In this talk, I review recent progress towards developing accurate and precise nuclear forces in the framework of chiral effective field theory. The new generation of NN potentials up to fifth order in the chiral expansion is shown to provide excellent description of phase shifts and to yield a convergent pattern for low-energy NN observables. I also address the issue of uncertainty quantification and discuss some recent results in nucleon-deuteron scattering. |
