Summary:Abstract. A methodology has been developed for the selection of an electric motor for the replacement of the mechanical with electric drive of the sowing apparatus of the Saxonia A200 seeder. The gear ratio, angular velocity and torque required to drive the sowing apparatus have been determined. As a result, 22.65 W of motor power is calculated.
