description The aim of the present work was the evaluation of genotype and year effects on some physico-chemical parameters of five sweet cherries grown in Middle Atlas of Morocco. The analysis of variance showed significant effects of the genotype, year and their interaction on all fruit physico-chemical traits focused. ‘Coeur de pigeon’ and ‘Burlat’ produced the heaviest fruit, whereas ‘Van’ and ‘Coeur de pigeon’ fruits were sweeter than others varieties Differences among the three years were highly significant (at p<0.001) for all parameters highlighting the annual influence on the fruit quality parameters. Year effect was significant on the physicochemical fruit traits confirming the climatic conditions effect on fruit quality. Fruits harvested in 2016 and 2017 showed the highest values in terms of physico-chemical traits studied.
