description | The Russian Federation is striving to rebuild its own dominant position in the post-Soviet area. For this purpose, it uses the available political, economic and socio-cultural instruments, while destabilizing individual countries in the region. In 2008, Georgia felt the destructive power of Moscow’s policy. In 2014, the turn came to Ukraine, which to this day is at war with Russia. In turn, Kazakhstan can take advantage of the current situation of the Russian state and build its own strong position in the Asian region. The authors attempt to analyze the contemporary relations between Russia and Ukraine, Georgia and Kazakhstan, claiming that the dominant position of the Russian state will be radically redefined in the field of contemporary international relations. This is a consequence of geopolitical changes in the global balance of power, which is once again dominated by Western structures. |
