Description
Summary:The paper presents an analysis of the influence of high-strength concrete and reinforcing steel on the effort of the rectangular reinforced concrete deep beams taking into account physical nonlinearity of structural materials: concrete and reinforcing steel. The analysis was carried out on the basis of the method presented in [1]. The results of numerical solutions with particular emphasis on the displacement and stress states of a deep beam in the incremental static loading process, were presented. The obtained results were compared with experimental ones for normal concrete [3]. The correctness of the assumptions and models of deformation of concrete and steel as well as efficiency of the method of analysis, proposed in [1] for the numerical simulation of the behaviour of reinforced concrete deep beam made of high-strength concrete, was confirmed. Keywords: mechanics of structures, reinforced concrete structures, deep beams, static load, physical nonlinearity
