description | Political education is one of the educational fields that are addressed in the educational system aimed at socialization. After examining the thoughts and life of politicians who have acceptable characteristics in terms of beliefs and morals, it is possible to obtain components of political education that, in addition to validity, are applicable and are close to reality. Based on this, the aim of this research is to investigate the components of political education based on the thought and life of Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani. Due to the existence of appropriate written sources in this field, using the method of targeted sampling, the most relevant written works of Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, including the topics of political education, were selected and after initial monitoring, the main body of data was provided. In the selected samples, there are books authored by Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, books written about him, interviews and compiled oral history. By choosing the method of thematic analysis, while studying the documents and compiling the study sheets as the unit of analysis, by taking advantage of the common aspects between the themes, finally, four general concepts were obtained as follows: Shariah-oriented with three themes of commitment to duty, adherence to the principle The guardianship of the jurist and respect for human rights; Ethical orientation with four themes of sustainable moderation, maximum absorption, sincerity in politics and result-oriented instead of reading intentions; Lawfulness with the three themes of avoiding breaking the law, acting according to the law, and preventing lawlessness; Being a revolutionary with the four themes of having a political spirit, revolutionary courage and boldness, decisiveness in implementation and serving the people. The findings of this research show that the patterns that appear between the themes and concepts overlap and are located in each other's extension; In this way, in the studied thought and practice, Sharia-centeredness is the foundation of other concepts, and being revolutionary based on legality and morality is based on the foundations of Sharia and the teachings of Islam. |
