Summary:The modern approaches to the development of strength abilities, directions and aspects of education of adolescents are considered. The level of development and the rate of growth of strength abilities among adolescents, achieved in the process of physical education in the educational process, are analyzed. On the basis of an approximate work program and analyzes of thematic blocks on the subject «Physical culture 5-9 grades», preliminary testing was carried out, which showed an unsatisfactory level of development of strength abilities of students. Based on the data obtained, pedagogical approaches were developed and a set of exercises was corrected, aimed at increasing the intensity of the process of training students’ strength abilities. This complex was compiled taking into account the material and technical base of the school, morphological and functional features of the development of schoolchildren, without deviating from the implementation of the approximate work program.
