| Summary: | The article deals with Moscow University academics who played an important role in establishing the Moscow Commercial Institute (at present the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics). When 'University Liberties' were eliminated in 1910-1911 a group of prominent scientists of Moscow University abandoned their offices and continued lecturing and researching in the first economics institution in Russia. In this way we can observe a persistent link between the two educational institutions. Academics and graduates of Moscow University working in the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics have made a great contribution to training professionals for economy of the country, to the development of Russian science. |
