Summary:Infective endocarditis is a serious diagnostic and therapeutic challenge for doctors of many specialties. In order to form a structured approach to patient management, the article discusses the key points regarding the neurological aspects of the disease, which are formulated in ten rules. They cover the clinical diagnosis of endocarditis in patients with stroke, features of reperfusion therapy, approaches to prescribing antithrombotic and antibiotic therapy, as well as issues of surgical treatment.
