description This research presents in an unprecedented way the Sento project, carried out as a field study for the doctoral research entitled "Heritage, emotions and citizenship: a project based on action research in secondary school students in Italy" which is framed in the context of EPITEC-2 project “Controversial heritage for the ecosocial formation of citizenship. An investigation of patrimonial education in formal education”. The research seeks, on the one hand, to contribute to the educational potential of controversial heritage and ecosocial problems today; and, on the other, to know how and to what degree the transversal integration of the affective and emotional dimension is important in the Didactics of Social Sciences and Heritage, for civic and values formation. To contribute to these ends, he uses a mixed research methodology. At present, it is in the analysis phase of the results obtained with the realization of the Sento project.
