| Summary: | Dance is a school content inserted in the disciplines of Art and Physical Education. Intending to expand discussions able to effectivate dance as a school content and reaffirm the importance of dealing with the manifestations of corporal and artistic culture in Basic Education, the present study had the objective of analyzing the legal issues and the approximations between Art and Education Physics with regard to dance content. Reference documents for Basic Education were analysed for Physical Education and Art. From results found we propose that dance should not be the object of territorial disputes between related areas in school, but a content that approximates areas around the greater purpose of education, recognizing its multiplicity and its importance in the formation of critical, autonomous subjects and protagonists for more just society. |
