description Software protection is a mechanism to make software systems more difficult (or impossible) to be accessed by attackers. Such mechanisms are gaining more importance nowadays for increasing number of attacks on the software systems in the large internet networked environment. Hence, in this paper, two schemes are proposed to achieve effective software protection tools. They are based on the use of multifactor authentication techniques and steganography algorithms. Multifactor authentication techniques are used to strength access policy to the software intellectual property while steganography algorithms are utilized to make protected software imperceptible to attackers. Finally, conducted experiments have shown that developed schemes are able to provide immunity against illegal accesses by invaders.
