Description
Summary:Legalization of euthanasia represents one of the most discussed subjects in the process of establishing the features of the right to life, right to self-determination and right to die with dignity of the person. Of course, the arguments for and against legalization are well grounded and examined from different points of view, based on the interest of human beings. At the same time, the states try to implement effective measures for fighting with eventual violations of law. The suitable framework for euthanasia is considered to be the first step in the evaluation of necessity and perspectives of legalization. Some states provide euthanasia as a crime punishable by criminal code; others adopted already some laws for legal practice of such activity. But, for both of these categories, the problem of euthanasia still exists, because it is compulsory to establish if euthanasia is an abuse in deciding the future life of terminal ill patients or a necessity for their benefit.
