Summary: | <p><strong>Foundation:</strong> user satisfaction is one of the most important components when measuring the health services quality. It depends, on the quality of care that the patient receives from the health team.<br /><strong>Objective:</strong> to describe user satisfaction regarding the care quality offered by nursing staff.<br /><strong>Methods:</strong> descriptive cross-sectional study, in the Ibarra City Health Center №.1, Ecuador, from July to December 2022. The universe were 960 users and the sample by 173. The analyzed variables were: mood of the patient when it is not attended to quickly, rating of the care received, language used by the nursing staff, behavior of the nursing staff and aspects that the nursing staff should improve.<br /><strong>Results:</strong> more than half of the patients expressed feeling restless when they are not attended to quickly; 54.3% rate the care provided by the nursing staff as good; 37% answered that they almost always use language in simple terms. More than half of those surveyed believed that the treatment received was good and 47.4% expressed that the nursing staff should improve regarding the treatment.<br /><strong>Conclusions:</strong> it is important to carry out studies related to user satisfaction in the care received, since the results make it possible to optimize the quality of services.</p>
