| description | Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease or histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis is a disease often presents with fever, malaise, and lymphadenopathy primarily involving the cervical lymph nodes, found mainly in young women. We present a 27 years old woman with complaints of cervical lymphadenopathy and fever, which diagnosed as Kikuchi- Fujimoto disease with excisional lymph node biopsy and pathological inspection. Their characteristics are discussed, while a review of the literature is attempted. |
