Administration of maintenance therapy is one strategy to prolong response or the length of stable disease, resulting in improved survival for patients whose disease has not progressed after first-line induction therapy. This review will summarize the results of phase 3 studies of pemetrexed as maintenance therapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer. |
