Summary:The proclamation of the Republic II opened horizons of hopes and freedoms for wide sectors of the country and supposed a change in all the orders of the political Spanish life. The Provisional Government of the Republic was placing in the first plane of its worries the problems concerning to the people education. The Republic was aspiring to transform the Spanish reality up to achieve that Spain was an authentic democracy. In this sense, those who were responsible for the new regime, to promote the development of educational politics on new pedagogical bases in order to create a new social and pedagogic philosophy, the educational system. As the society, the education was presenting in Malaga several features. The high rate of illiteracy, the scanty number of public schools, the cultural disinterest, the precarious living conditions of the most numerous social class of the low class, was becoming more accentuated because of the disadvantages in which there were living the big families, who, with a well-off situation, were sending her daughters to the "misses' colleges" and her children to institutions governed, by religious in general. Her privileged position, was allowing them the access to the cultural and recreational centers that were arranged in the city from the previous century.
