Summary:Senegal was one of the countries showcased by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2010 because of his progress in the fight against Malaria. This situation fostering hopes for the elimination of the disease. Early management of malaria (with introduction of Rapid Diagnosis Test in 2007) has contributed to the overall improvement of health for the entire population: management of malaria at the local scale (district) is a fundamental aspect of the fight against this disease. Furthermore, the improvement of the malaria control guidelines from the health ministry is based on data collected in local healthcare infrastructures. However, there is a gap between the data compiled by the health ministry and the data write down in the local scale infrastructures records. There is a weakness in the epidemiological surveillance. The objective of this paper to identify and analyze filters who affected the malaria cases recording. This work is based on the analysis of the official data production process, at every stage of the healthcare seeking itineraries, in Saint-Louis.
