| description | Brazilian society has been facing, since the year of 2015, a large outbreak of so-called arboviruses caused by Aedes aegypti. Since then, numerous studies have sought alternatives for actions in the areas of public health, education and other social determinants of the problem. This research is focused on the analysis of regional governance in networks of actors for the confrontation of arboviruses, focusing on the sixth regional health management of Paraíba´s state. The organization of the different actors involved in the problem is fundamental for the reduction of the effects of the triple epidemic, using governance mechanisms. Based on documentary analysis and interviews with different actors of the network, it was possible to describe the governance mechanisms adopted and the problems for the expansion of the organization and cooperative action to confront the arboviruses. With this study we could conclude that important strategies have been developed in the municipalities, however the work aiming at public policies developed by people involved in the project is fragile, and there are also technical, operational and structural problems that hinder the effectiveness of the actions, which points out the most urgent demands in terms of governance. |
