Description
Summary:The article shows the war in Ukraine as a huge humanitarian catastrophe, with consequences for the disruption or destruction of natural areas and the long-term threat to the environment, with implications for the health of people for generations to come. This is happening in violation of internationally valid conventions and protocols to which both Ukraine and the Russian Federation are signatories. A brief (and as yet incomplete) list of damages will be gradually amended so that accountability can be established. The international community should be involved, as the environment has no borders.
