description In this article, we question the incidence of mobile technologies and work at home on work-life balance. Based on qualitative interviews carried out with managers and professionals from Quebec, our findings highlight their contrasted effects. This study enables to illustrate of the concept of time porosity – between professional and personal times - and underlines the existing gap between the traditional mechanisms of regulation (inherited from the fordist model) to protect and limit working time, and the current practices which they fail to adequately embrace. To conclude, we discuss the stakes involved in time porosity and in the postfordist temporal regime in emergence.
