Summary:The analysis of expenses related to health in the household of Marie-Fortunée d’Este, princesse de Conti (1731-1803) offers the opportunity to study the medical care given to some fifty servants between 1776 and 1789. The 262 pages of accounts, mainly apothecaries’ invoices, highlights the economy of health in the daily life of the household and makes it possible to think about the therapeutic consumption of the servants. Thanks to the invoices, it is possible to evaluate the patients’ health and the treatments they received.
