Summary: | The purpose of present research was to study the mediating role of achievement motivation on relationship between conscientiousness, role performance and extra role performance. Statistical population of study consisted all employees of Shahrekord University, of whom, 157 employees were selected via convenience sampling method. A set of questionnaire consisting of achievement motivation (Hermanns, 1970), conscientiousness (Costa, McCrae, 1992), role performance (Patterson, 1963), and extra role performance (Lee and Allen, 2002), were used. Data were analyzed by use of Pearson's correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling (SEM).
