description In the presented article we have investigated the variation of the sound pressure level in characteristic areas around an element of an acoustic barrier with an elliptical shape at different frequencies (from 100 Hz to 2000 Hz). The variation of the sound pressure level in four characteristic areas located on the axis of symmetry of the acoustic barrier element is investigated. The purpose of the research is to determine in which of the areas it is most efficient to place devices for generating electrical energy from acoustic noise. The results were analyzed and relevant conclusions were drawn.
