description The reliability characteristics of a <i>k</i>-out-of-<inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><mi>n</mi><mo>:</mo><mi>F</mi></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula> system are studied in the case when a failure of one of the system’s components leads to increasing the load on others, resulting in their residual lifetimes decreasing. The situation is modeled with the help of changing the components and the system hazard rate function. The reliability function and other reliability characteristics are calculated. Numerical examples are considered.
