Summary: | Abstract: In this article, we aim to show a possible relationship between the fictional story contained in leaflets of string literature and official history from the interdiscurses which constitute these two discursive formations. That's because the stories of the leaflets would be based on memories that keep a connection with the history that has remained in the discursive memory of northern culture. To illustrate our hypothesis, we took for analysis, under the contributions of French discourse analysis (DA), some string literature leaflets whose narrative thematic are the deeds of “cangaceiro” Lampião, sometimes described as a hero and sometimes described as an evil thief. Therefore, based on Foucault (2007), Meihy (2005), Achard (1999), Pêcheux (1999) and others, our analysis shows, finally, that the discursive formation of official history presented in history books crosses the discourses that constitute the narrative of the string literature leaflets.
