description Our study, drawn from a survey carried out in February 2021 among 247 university tutors, focuses on the perception that student tutors recruited in France in the pandemic context of 2020-2021 have both of their mission but also from the student experience of the peers they tutored. Our data first provide knowledge, alongside a description by tutors of the difficulties encountered by tutored students during the pandemic, the relationship between resistance to dropping out on the one hand and monitoring methods (in presence or remotely) and difficulties related to digital on the other hand. Then, the analysis of the verbatim confirms that face-to-face interactions, when possible, are preferred to remote meetings. The tutors express a constant feeling of usefulness but also difficulties relating essentially to the conditions of their activity and their training. They express the wish for more substantial supervision, access to videoconferencing tools as well as educational resources and support for the development of their skills as tutors.
