| Summary: | After a small note concerning the past of the Humanities Faculty of Porto University, follows a description of the area where the actual building is situated and the main features of the program. Then, are presented the concepts that underlie through the design proceadures. Finally, are accounted several events that interfered in the development of the project and irremediably damaged the relathionship with the other faculties located nearby. This campus that was meant to be appealing, favourable to meditation and to encourage exchange of informatiom between the various lines of knowledge, became all mixed-up, self centred and entangled in a vast road junction, with almost irreversible dramatic results.
