description Children's infections of the orofacial region in everyday practice represent an important percentage of pathology. They can be a very serious problem for the doctor-practioners regarding both diagnostics and indications for an adequate therapy and intervention. The herpes simplex virus causes diseases of sin and mucus of children and adults. The changes are accompanied with local and general symptoms. Only 10 to 15% of primary infections are manifested with clinically distinct symptoms. The primary changes are evident on oral mucus. They are characterized by a triad symptoms, namely, generalized cataral gingvitis, a coated tongue and erosions dispersed all over oral epithelium. The aim of the paper was to confirm, in addition to clinically manifested symptoms, the diagnosis by the paraclinic parameters. By the laboratory blood analysis the values of hemoglobin, leukocytes and lymphocytes as well as the color of erythrocytes are obtained; they are different from the normal values for the excamined children structure. In the blood there are also virocytes discovered as proofs of the virus etiology of the disease. On the basis of the obtained results the diagnosis can be confirmed with surety and an adequate therapy can be carried out.
