Summary:It is clear nowadays that Brazil’s foreign policy is oriented to consolidate the cooperation and integration within South American countries. In this sense, Brazil is aiming to exert a leadership role in the region in order to deepen trade relations and to establish greater integration regarding regional development projects. In this paper we point out the main characteristics of the trade between Brazil and the region of Latin America and Caribbean, emphasizing the role of this region as a destination of the Brazilian manufactured goods.
