Abstract The rare decays $$B^+\rightarrow K^+ \mu \bar{\mu }$$ B + → K + μ μ ¯ and $$B^0\rightarrow K^{*0} \mu \bar{\mu }$$ B 0 → K ∗ 0 μ μ ¯ provide the strongest constraints on the mixing of a light scalar with the Higgs boson for GeV-scale masses.
