This process ask for the development of a world sociology; that is, a global sociology, whose interests should not, however, be confined only to the issue of globalization. This should be the main reference point of higher education in the whole area of sociological teachings and research. Would italian sociology be willing to move forward on this road, it should undertake a deep revision (in the sense of re-vision, a renewed way of looking at things) both of its theoretical foundations and its operating method as well. |
