Description
Summary:The Republican Nationalist Party was the second most important party in the final phase of the First Portuguese Republic. It represented the conservative republican political line alternative to the Portuguese Republican Party, which followed the radical and historical line of republicanism and remained the dominant party of the political system. In this study we intend to characterize the funding, the press and the political centres of the Nationalist Republican Party (1923-1935) in the context of the Portuguese political parties of the 1920s and 1930s.
