description The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of a nursing intervention based on the Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skills Model(IMB Model) in patients with chronic heart failure. An average of 100 patients with chronic HF admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were divided into two groups. 50 patients in the experimental group were given IMB model care, and 50 patients in the control group underwent routine care measures. Patients were evaluated both before and after the intervention using the self-perceived burden scale and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale. The experimental results showed that after 6 months of intervention, the self-perceived burden scores of both groups decreased, with the experimental group significantly lower than the control group. The cognitive function was higher in the experimental group than in the control group. This experiment concludes that the IMB model nursing intervention can relieve the burden of chronic heart failure, and improve the cognitive function of the disease in patients with chronic heart failure.
