Summary: | The objective was to describe the perceptions and feelings of nursing professionals to infant death. Field research with qualitative approach and descriptive classification method with experimental observation is carried out with five nurses from one unit Urgency and Emergency. Can highlight the difficulty that the professional has to accept the infant death and also noted a gap within the academy about the process of death and dying influencing the unpreparedness of future professionals. When discussing this subject, there is no concrete conclusion, speaking on the subject moves with his own mortality of human beings, each professional has a different perspective on this process, dealing as best they can within their professional area. |
