Description
Summary:All measuring instruments are subject to errors. Due to their characteristics random errors cannot be influenced and with instrument calibration they cannot be eliminated. Systematical errors can exercise great influence on the measuring values so they must be carefully determinated and reduced with instrument adjustment, eliminated with a suitable measuring method or taken into account in the computation process. A calibrated instrument is the basic condition for performing correct measurements. The calibration of the electronic distance meter should be done in laboratories and in field test lines or base nets. With this intention the Logatec comparator base was renewed.
