| Summary: | <p>El presente artículo estudia la figura del corregidor de Palma entre los años 1718 y 1812. El corregidor palmesano, e intendente hasta 1770, presidió el ayuntamiento de Palma y centralizó la presencia de la monarquía en el municipio. El objetivo es estudiar sus funciones, proceso electivo y juramento y el perfil profesional de los corregidores del ayuntamiento de Palma entre 1718 y 1812 con un epílogo hasta 1835. </p><p><em>This article contains a study of the ‘corregidor’ of the city of Palma between 1718 and 1812. The Palma ‘corregidor’, also Mayor until the year 1770, presided the Town Hall of Palma and centralized the presence of the monarchy in the municipality. The objective of this work is to study the authorities and the sociological and professional profile of the Corregidor of the city of Palma between 1718 and extensible 1812 with an epilogue until the year 1835.</em></p>
