Summary:Effect of oeophageal incubation using pharyngostomy tube on healing at the site of cervical oesophagoplasty by chrome / glutaraldehyde processed aortic allografts was studied in dogs. Radiological, gross, histomorphological and biomechanical studies ofthe oesophagoplastystte revealed that the presence of foreign material in the form of oesophageal tube has not adversely influenced the healing process.
