| Summary: | This article aims to research, analyze and describe the historical evolution of the rights of children and adolescents with emphasis on Brazilian law. Preliminarily, we try to analyze the concept of children and adolescents, in order to contextualize the treatment meted out to them throughout history. In this sense discourse about that right from the Ancient East, passing by international conventions and especially evolution occurred between the period of colonial Brazil to the advent of the 1988 Constitution. Subject to setting yet the infl uence of the sphere and Constitutional Law n. 8.069/90 – as the fundamental doctrines of the right of children and adolescents in Brazil. Th e research method was based on documentary research conducted into sources of national legislation and through literature searches. In conclusion, fi nally, that despite the great advances in protection doctrine to children and adolescents, especially on the national scene, is preeminent necessary that the measures adopted undergo a revision, in order to promote greater effi ciency in the protection of the child and adolescents. |
