Molecular and genetic aspects of essential arterial hypertension in children

The article presents the results of clinical, molecular genetic data on the role of polymorphism of renin-angiotensin system genes ADD1, AGT, AGTR1, AGTR2, CYP11B2, GNB3, NOS3 in children with essential hypertension, taking into account the results of 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. The main Grou...

description The article presents the results of clinical, molecular genetic data on the role of polymorphism of renin-angiotensin system genes ADD1, AGT, AGTR1, AGTR2, CYP11B2, GNB3, NOS3 in children with essential hypertension, taking into account the results of 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. The main Group consisted of 16 children (13 boys and 3 girls) aged from 13 to 17 years with essential arterial hypertension. The results of the study indicate a significant contribution of genetic factors to the development and progression of arterial hypertension in children.
