Summary:The culture of the society anticipates the combination of information it has acquired and events, which took place during the lifetime. Realization and expression of the culture by means of language has generated the research of the relationship between culture, language and human being in the context of cultural linguistics. A different viewpoint upon an object is studied in this paper in the framework of the linguistic worldview concept, stipulating the reflection of individual’s worldview upon a language. The concept of linguistic worldview, which has been discussed in many scientific researches, studies such components, as perception and reflection of the world by the society, the quality of the surrounding objects and attributes they distinguish and the way the human beings express their emotions and describe the events. In this paper, the metaphors and idioms with conjunction “как” (“like”) in Russian language are studied and compared with Turkish language. The aim of this work is to demonstrate the differences and similarities between the perception of the outside world by two nations.
