| description | In less than a decade, the political and institutional environment of IUTs (Institut universitaire de technologie) has profoundly changed. A double movement of globalisation and metropolisation has transformed the academic territories. The new forms of cooperation and complementarity have redefined the questions of territorial equality, proximity and differentiation. We will first discuss the territorial establishment of IUTs through the construction of the technological map and the changes brought by the intervention of territorial authorities, in particular medium-sized towns. We will then study the current regional reorganisations and their effects on the forms of governance, using the example of the new region Occitanie. |
