Description
Summary:The paper presents the experimental study of the characteristics of coping strategies and aggressive behavior in persons involved in terrorist crimes. The survey involved 32 people detained by law enforcement agencies of the Chechen Republic and undergoing a comprehensive forensic psychological and psychiatric examination on the basis of the State Budgetary Institution “Republican Psychoneurological Dispensary” of the Ministry of Health of the Chechen Republic, which was a part of investigative actions. As a result, it was found that, the most preferable coping mechanisms in the current situation (under investigation) for the studied group of people were seeking social support and responsibility admission. At the same time, the used coping strategies were combined with a low level of suicidal risk and an increase in the level of frustration, rigidity, and anxiety.
