None of them, except H. Kosteljnik, was a professional historian andnone had serious scholarly ambitions. Kosteljnik’s work is not analysed, it is only mentioned,because his historiographic work has already been analysed on several occasions. The analysisincludes about 15 authours and their 30 works. Although these historiographic works are of nogreater value, the only exception being The Cronicle of the Backerestur Parish by H. Kosteljnik,in their time they represented significant information on the history of the Ruthenians in variousaspects of their social and economic life. Even today they represent important and inevitable literaturein studying the history of the Ruthenians in Southern Hungary/Yugoslavia. |
