Description
Summary:In the present article we propose a conceptualization of subjective well-being (SWB) as an indicative of quality of life. SWB refers to the different evaluations people make of their lives overall or in various domains. SWB includes both a cognitive and an affective component. SWB also increases with the frequency of positive affect (PA) and decreases with the frequency of negative affect (NA). We specified some theories that explain SWB and determinative factors of emotional balance, of happiness, of life satisfaction.
