Summary:In the article there is considered the evolution of views on autocracy formed in the Slavophile and Eurasian school. Therewith, the appeared in the mid XIX century Slavophiles think that a state in Russia is preferable to be a monarchy. Developing certainly many Slavophile ideas after 1917 in the European emigration, the representatives of the Eurasian movement are sure that in the postrevolutionary Russia the social and ideological backgrounds of autocracy have been ruined. And the Russian state should search for a new, their best, form of government.
