To do so, we dialogue with a varied bibliography, which examines aspects of what we study from Philosophy, History, Education and Sociology. This is exploratory research, which intends to raise relevant questions both for future research and for the practice of teachers on the “school floor”. Initially, we elucidate the meanings of the two fundamental categories of our text: forgiveness and resentment. Then, we present the possibilities of historical learning that both categories can inspire. Finally, we justify the adoption of History teaching that values and uses resentful memories.
