Description
Summary:This research was done on a sample of 104 grammar school female students, aged between 12 and 14, in order to discover the influence of the morphological characteristics on the result efficiency at practising on the beam. 13 anthropometric measures were applied which define the following: longitudinal and transverse dimensionality, voluminousness, body mass, and subcutaneous fat tissue. The results of this regressive analysis show that there are statistically important relations between the morphological characteristics and the result efficiency at practising on the beam, on a multivarious level. It was discovered that there are statistically important relations between the anthropometric measures and having success in practising on the beam, defined by the length of the leg ADNO, the width of the knee AKOL, the volume of the upper arm AOND, and the volume of the knee-bend AOPK. The authors conclude that the competitors who have longer legs, wider knees, more voluminous upper arms, and more voluminous knee-bends, will have more success in practising on the beam.
